lived experience, allyship and deconstructing embodied systems of power

Facilitated group conversations about unjust power structures - capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, ableism, all the unjust social systems that harm us, harm our fellow humans, harm the way we relate and harm our natural environment.

Each discussion is conducted with the foundational understanding that we embody these systems of power; through socialisation, they exist within us and - if we are not actively working to break them down and build something new - they are perpetuated by us. Deconstructing them within us will inevitably deconstruct them without us.

All sessions welcome people who live in bodies that experience structural oppression and people who live in bodies that experience privilege within those same structures. Intersectionality will come into play.

Session dynamics will be guided by principles of Open Space Technology. As such, the conversations will spring from what is alive within participants at the time of meeting. As social spaces, the meetings themselves will inevitably become active reference points for reflecting and deconstructing the embodied social power structures present in the room.

Each session is a practice in holding space for learning as well as a concerted commitment to channel that learning into action; embodying real-world change.

For people at all stages of awareness, learning, growth, evolution and revolution.

A mental health first aid practitioner will be present/available at every session.

Please inform us of specific accessibility requirements when booking.
