The land on which I stand is, was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
On this day of Remembrance, I mark British Invasion and observe Survival Day.
I pay my respects to Australia's First Nations people and to Aboriginal Elders, past and present.
I am heading to the Central Coast of NSW, to Darkinjung country. I am researching and contemplating the indigenous history of this particular area, as well as what today's date truly means to First Nations people - and to all of us - now living on this island continent.
Invasion. Survival. Remembrance.
